COACH’S MESSAGE
Our emphasis in the first meeting is that we want to be known for our energy and our teamwork in 2026. Everything we are focusing on is that we are one team, working together, and that we approach every practice and game with the highest energy. After talking with players and coaches about the 2025 season, these are our top two priorities.
WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING
1. We had a quick preseason meeting this month and met over 50 student-athletes. This is big growth from the past few years! If you missed the meeting, please stop by Room 171 and check in on an A day.
2. Every Monday and Wednesday for the rest of the semester, the upper weight room will be open after school from 2:45-3:00pm for all soccer athletes to get a short workout. To access the upper weight room, go to the gym entrance off of the lobby and go up the stairs.
3. We met our future freshmen (current 8th grade) at the Niwot Open House! We had a lot of interest in our growing program. A huge thanks to Hannah, Tori, and Ellie for being at our table and answering player and parent questions!
4. In October, our players did a great job in the concessions booth at the football game. We raised money for the purchase of some additional and replacement equipment. Thank you to all of the players who gave up some of their evening to help out!
UPCOMING EVENTS
1. Please plan on attending a parent-player-coach preseason meeting in January (date TBD). We want to have an early start on our program goals and expectations this year. We will also invite you to the official spring sports parent meeting on Wednesday, February 18, where coaches will be available to answer any questions about the upcoming season and tryouts.
2. We will look for opportunities for kickarounds in January and February as we look forward to the spring season. These will be highly dependent on player availability and weather. More information to come!
3. The spring season officially
HOW YOU CAN HELP
I need players to communicate their availability for kickarounds in January and February. I know that many of you are continuing your club commitments through DPL, etc. We are looking for days that make sense to get our teams out for kickarounds together. Please stop by and share your club team's important dates with me before the end of the semester. We will also be asking some of our team leaders to gather this information, so please respond when asked!
